User's question : Hello, I got a question regarding the Hedge gate advisor. Advisor got buy position opened. Price went down and past some amount of points, advisor opened hedging position(correction: averaging position) to buy, with positions staying opened during the day(with minor drawdown). On the next day, advisor gets a signal and opens sell order, with the price going for the same direction, profit received. So my question is, why advisor is not closing any loss making trades opened during previous day, at least partially?
Our answer : Advisor must have "Loss heeding module" activated, description is available on 4th page of the manual.
Parameter Use Hedge // true (!). This parameter must be activated only for one of the currency pair charts advisor is using, so if you are using the advisor to trade more than one pair, parameter must be set to true only on one chart. If this parameter is enabled, and you still have loss making positions not hedged on account of profitable trades, then it can only mean that gained profits are not sufficient enough, even with minimal lot of 0.01 . Also, contact your Broker, to clarify if partial position closure is even allowed on your account.
